Crews responding to crash at 34th & the West Loop

UPDATE: Three injured in crash near 34th & the West Loop

LUBBOCK, Texas -

At 8:20 a.m. Monday, the Lubbock Police Department received reports of a crash with injuries near the West Loop and 34th Street.

Officers responded to a van and pickup truck that had been involved in the crash.

The driver of the van and the two passengers of the pickup truck were all taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Investigators report the driver of the van was traveling south in the 3400 block of the Loop 289 access road and failed to stop at a red light. The van struck the pickup truck that was traveling west on 34th Street.

The driver of the van was cited for running a light.
