LUBBOCK, Texas -

A man is jailed, accused of leading law officers on a chase and throwing drugs out of his car.

A sheriff's canine unit tried to stop Christopher Robinson, 32, near Southeast Drive and South Loop 289. Deputies report he sped off and led anti-gang investigators on a chase around the Loop.

Along the way, investigators say he was throwing narcotics out of his speeding car. Detectives caught him and arrested him.

He's charged for the chase, drug possession and tampering with evidence, for trying to get rid of them. He also faces an aggravated assault warrant and two other charges from the city and county.
