Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

On Monday, June 10, there will be a heavy first responder presence around Lubbock High School, Dupre Elementary and the Lubbock ISD Central Office for the joint City of Lubbock and Lubbock ISD active shooter training exercise.

No roads will be shut down; however, there will be signs around these areas to let drivers know there is a public safety exercise occurring in this area.

The public can expect to see LPD, SWAT, Lubbock ISD PD, LFR and EMS around these campuses on 19th and the Lubbock ISD Central Office.

This is just a public safety exercise.

On the morning of the exercise, the City of Lubbock will also send a LBKAlert to the areas where the event is occurring to notify community members of the exercise.
