Things calmed and cleared the area from the storms last night. This morning we are on the back end of an upper level low pressure system. Clouds will increase from the north with a chance for some showers and storms if they can hold together.
TODAY: Drier air will lower the chance for storms from west to east, still a few showers and storms will be possible. Partly sunny with the high near 83, light northerly wind 5-15mph.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear sky with the low near 60.
FRIDAY: How about some warmer temperatures to dry things out? High near 88, mostly sunny with a light southeast wind. Some models hint the chance for a few storms to develop in New Mexico and might make it into our western counties. With the drier air in place they shouldn't make it far into our area.
WEEKEND: Hot Saturday with the high near 95! A cold front will move through the area Sunday with cloud cover increasing with it. This will likely bring a little stronger wind later Sunday early Monday.
NEXT WEEK: Models are still not in a good agreement if we will have more showers and storms in our area. There is a slight chance for this activity to start in the early morning hours of Monday. For now a slight chance continues into Wednesday until we get some better agreement of if this will occur. Temperatures will drop from the warm weekend to the 70s Monday. The wind will likely be breezy through the early Monday before dropping off.
Have a great Thursday! Robert is filling in for Matt tonight on the News at Nine.
