THIS AFTERNOON: A few isolated storms have developed northeast of Lubbock. These haven't moved much, have some heavy rain. Farther to the west, storms are more widespread across New Mexico. Here is current radar:
TONIGHT: Storms actually didn't make it to Lubbock last night, breaking the nightly streak of rain and storms. Heaviest rain was measured near Tatum. We have another decent chance for storms to move across our area late tonight through early morning. Some will produce heavy rain and gusty wind.
TOMORROW: Chance for storms both in the afternoon and evening. Partly cloudy, high lower 80s. Wind NE-SE 5-15mph.
NEXT FEW DAYS: The storm chance will trend a little lower Thursday. After that, drier air will be in place, allowing it to really warm up. We expect upper 80s on Friday then mid 90s Saturday and Sunday. It'll be hot at Dan Law Field for the Red Raiders and Cowboys.
Humidity will increase with a slight chance for storms early next week.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
