Plainview man killed in crash on U.S. 70

A Plainview man died after being ejected from his car in a crash early Saturday morning west of Plainview.

According to the DPS, Juan Gomez, 66, of Hale Center, was driving northbound on FM 1424. Troopers state he did not stop at the stop sign at U.S. 70.

Juan Saucedo, 36, of Plainview, was driving westbound on U.S. 70. He crashed into Gomez' pick-up, forcing his car to roll. Saucedo died at the scene. Investigators say he was not wearing a seat belt.

Gomez was taken to the hospital. Investigators say he was wearing a seat belt.
