One person killed, two hurt in crash near Ropesville

HOCKLEY COUNTY, Texas -
One person was killed and two people hurt in a crash southwest of Lubbock Saturday night.
The DPS reports an SUV driven by Roger Dale Grizzard, 72, of Weatherford, was headed eastbound on Foster Road just north of Ropesville in Hockley County. Investigators say the SUV pulled out in front of a pick-up towing a car hauler headed northeast on U.S. 62/82.
Roger Grizzard died at the scene. Passengers Jeannie Grizzard, 67, and Roger Tyler Grizzard, 38, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The pick-up wound up in a ditch. Its driver wasn't hurt.
