Progress reported in resolving Reagor-Dykes registration issues

Progress is being made in resolving some of hundreds of Reagor-Dykes customers' registration issues.

During a hearing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court Wednesday, a Reagor-Dykes attorney said "consumers are reaping the benefits". Since a process was established to help resolve those issues in late April, 94 customers have been able to register their vehicle. At the time, more than 700 customers were reported to have registration problems.

The attorney said each presented unique challenges.

Also, she confirmed there was a mediation meeting between Reagor-Dykes and Ford. There were no definitive documents discussed face-to-face in February. Since then, other pressing issues, including TT&L, took precedent. Now with those other issues resolved, she told the judge mediation has resumed.

There are confidentiality agreements in place, but she said attorneys representing Reagor-Dykes and Ford are working with a mediator. There are also discussions ongoing with GM.

As for what's left on Reagor-Dykes lots, the attorney confirmed Ford Credit has taken possession of most, if not all, vehicles it financed.
