Fire crews respond to East Lubbock fire

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Just after 11:00 a.m. the Buffalo Springs, Idalou and Roosevelt Fire Departments were called to a fully-involved structure fire near East 4th Street and MLK Blvd.

Idalou's Fire Chief said because of water and manpower, multiple departments are needed when a fire is called out. The Buffalo Springs Fire Department assisted due to high speed winds.

Idalou EMS treated one firefighter due to smoke inhalation. He's expected to be okay.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
