Some light showers with embedded thunderstorms continue this morning.
TODAY: This activity is diminishing, but isolated to scattered storms will likely develop this afternoon. Like yesterday not everyone will receive rain with this activity. Lubbock and the southern half of the area has the better chances as a weak disturbance moves across southwest Texas.
TONIGHT: Isolated to scattered showers and storms will still be active but mainly south ending by midnight. Then mostly clear with the low near 53.
TUESDAY: High near 82 and mostly sunny.
EXTENDED: Things warm up and stays dry as a ridge of high pressure stays in place across much of the nation. We will be watching our next storm system later in the week closely. Models are in disagreement on what this system is going to do, but on does bring a chance for storms in our area. We will keep you updated with this activity through the week.
Have a great Monday! Matt with the next update to the forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
