Storms have pushed east this morning with drier air over the South Plains. Severe weather is expected with flooding risks across Texas.
TODAY: High near 82 with a breezy west wind 12-25mph. Sunshine through most of the day with some clouds later in the evening.
TONIGHT: Cold front pushes through the area dropping the low near 47. This may bring a few spotty showers, not expecting much if any precipitation. The wind will change northerly and stay a light breeze 10-20mph.
THURSDAY: Temperatures will be around 20 degrees below average for this time of year. High only near 63, some locations may stay in the upper 50s. Cloudy to start the day with some sunshine later in the afternoon.
EXTENDED: The cooler temperatures continue into the weekend. Our next storm system will settle in along the west coast pushing a disturbance across the area Friday. This will bring a chance for rain with storms by Saturday. As that storm system pushes into our region we may have another chance for storms going into next week.
It will be a nice afternoon to be outside taking in the sun. Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
