LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock grand jurors indicted Dewey Gleghorn, 54, Tuesday with aggravated robbery.

According to court records, Gleghorn entered a Valero gas station on 82nd street, grabbed two 30-packs of beer, and walked out without making any attempt to pay.

Working by himself, the cashier went outside and confronted Gleghorn before recovering the packs of beer, standing in front of the car to prevent him from leaving the scene.

Gleghorn then drove forward and pushed the cashier backwards, prompting the cashier to tell those around him to call the police.

The cashier then chased the car down, grabbed the driver-side door, and was drug through the parking lot before falling off.

Court records indicate the cashier suffered injuries requiring 44 staples and a rebuilt pelvic bone.
