LUBBOCK, Texas -

Former Coronado High School teacher Scott Hall, who is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a former student, has violated conditions of his pretrial release.

According to court documents, Hall violated the condition of release on Dec. 21 by attempting to wave a 15-year-old girl over to his vehicle. The girl is a former student of his.

According to a probation officer who investigated the encounter, Hall reported while he was on his way home from his grandfather’s house, where he works, he stopped at the Market Street at 50th Street and Indiana Avenue to get gas. While trying to find a gas pump he saw a former student, got excited and waved at her from his vehicle.

Although Hall did not have direct contact with the minor, he was in violation of his agreement.

A federal judge ordered Hall to be restricted to 24-hour lock-down at his residence, with the exception of any medical issues, court appearances or other activities approved by the court.
