THIS AFTERNOON: Sun returned to Lubbock, pushing the temperature back up around 50. Meanwhile, there's been some light wintry precipitation to the east of Lubbock off-and-on through the day. In fact, there are still a few showers wrapping around the back side of this storm system, either rain or light mixed precip:
TONIGHT: The showers will end fairly quickly, with clouds moving away. Low 24, light NW wind.
TOMORROW: Much warmer and sunny, high in the mid 60s. Wind W/SW 5-12mph.
QUIET STRETCH: The temperature will climb to the upper 60s this weekend. We may have a few 70s mixed in. The wind will get stronger on Sunday. Monday looks windy.
It's tough to tell when a few weak fronts will move through next week. Behind one or two of those fronts it may drop to the 50s. But for now we're keeping the forecast mild. No good sign of widespread showers over the next 10 days.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
