Some rowdy weather pushed across the South Plains today, but things are settling down as we move into the evening. Expect some clouds to stay with us and the breezy conditions to continue into the overnight hours. The winds will continue a little into the morning on Thursday, but cloud cover will be breaking up, leading to sunny skies.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with a low of 37 and NW wind 15-20mph. Stray showers are possible.
THURSDAY: A breezy start with sunny skies and a high of 51. NE wind 5-15mph.
New Mexico will be a little snowy as a disturbance pushes across the area. We could even see a few flurries in the Texas Panhandle Thursday or Friday. A better chance for snow across the South Plains however comes late Friday and into Saturday. The forecast is looking better as we slowly approach the chilly weekend, however the chance for snow doesn't look as great as it did several weeks ago. Any meaningful snowfall will likely be toward the NW of Lubbock, but we're keeping our eyes on this weekend as the forecast develops.
