Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 10am. Visibility is less than a mile in most areas across the central South Plains. Temperatures are cooling to near freezing, this may lead to some slick spots on overpasses and bridges. Give yourself extra time to get to your destination this morning. Drive slower and use your low beam head lights.
TODAY: After the fog clear this morning it will be mostly sunny, highs in the lower to mid 60s, with a northwest wind will pick up 8-18mph.
TONIGHT: Low near 31, mostly clear sky with the northerly wind picking up 12-22mph. This will be from a cold front pushing through the area.
THURSDAY: High near 55, sunny and windy early with wind speeds 18-28mph. The wind will back off some later in the afternoon.
FIRST DAY OF WINTER: Friday is the official day of winter and it will feel nice with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
EXTENDED: Staying dry into next week with another cool down Sunday. This will drop us to near 51 Sunday afternoon. Warming back up on Christmas with stronger wind returning to the area. Models continue to hint some rain mid to late next week.
