THIS AFTERNOON: We've had some light rain showers over the southern half of the area. The rain doesn't last long at any one location. And where it has rained the top totals are a few hundredths of an inch. Here's current radar:
TONIGHT: Clouds gradually diminishing, low near 34. Wind NW 5-10mph.
TOMORROW: High 63 mostly sunny. Wind NW/N 8-18mph.
LOOKING AHEAD: It'll turn cooler and windy Thursday, wind N 15-28mph. High temp near 54, sunny.
Friday the SW/W wind will kick up to around 20mph, helping to push the temperature to the upper 60s. We may have a few locations in the area reach the lower 70s.
Saturday is a little iffy on the forecast, since we aren't sure when a push of cooler air will arrive. Right now we're forecasting the lower 60s, though we may have to drop that a bit.
Sunday will be cooler, high near 50.
The travel conditions look good through Christmas around the region. In Lubbock we should have a good amount of sun both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Longer-range guidance shows we may get some rain by late next week, but nothing promising at this point.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
