VERY WINDY DAY: We've had wind gusts of 50 to 60mph, with the sustained wind up around 40mph at times today. Here are some of the peak gusts on the Texas Tech Mesonet in our area:

TONIGHT: It's still going to be windy, but not as windy as today. Mostly clear, low near 25. Wind N 15-28mph.

TOMORROW: Sunny and windy to breezy, high near 54. Wind N/NW 12-22mph.

WEEKEND: Much less wind and a little warmer, both days topping out near 60.

NEXT WEEK: Pretty quiet weather pattern. There might be a few sprinkles Tuesday into Wednesday, but doesn't look like a significant chance. The high will be in the 50s each day, maybe 60s by Thursday and Friday.

Longer-range guidance shows it'll probably turn a little bit colder just before Christmas Eve.
