Cold start this morning with a weak front in the area.
TODAY: Warmer than yesterday with the high near 61. Sunshine and some high clouds in store again with a southwest wind 10-15mph. Any Christmas decorations you have outside you may want to bring them indoors.
TONIGHT: A stronger front will push through the South Plains. This will bring a very strong northerly wind after midnight. Clouds will be increasing with the low near 35.
THURSDAY: Northerly wind will stay very strong 30-40mph with gust to 50-60mph. A High Wind Watch is in effect until 6 p.m. that evening. There will also be a chance for some light rain and/or some snow flurries early in the day. Not expecting much in precipitation and much of us should stay dry. Clouds will begin to clear later in the day with the high staying colder near 44.
EXTENDED: The wind will stay a little breezy Friday with calmer wind this weekend. It is looking dry with near average temperatures into next week.
