LUBBOCK, Texas -

The trial's underway for a 15-year-old accused of robbing the Logan's Roadhouse on Slide Road last October.

Xavier Martinez is charged as a juvenile with theft of property, with deadly conduct by showing a firearm and threatening with a deadly weapon. Martinez pleads not true to both charges.

During the trial, surveillance video shows a masked gunman walk into the restaurant and point the gun at two employees. The video shows the gunman forcing the victims into the manager's office, where the safe was. The two employees are held on their knees at gunpoint while the suspect takes the money and places it into a bucket, then runs away.

Martinez faces up to 40 years in prison, but if he's convicted and sentenced to more than three years, a judge will re-evaluate his sentence when he's 19.

Alize Castilleja, 19, and Michael Guerra, 24, are also indicted with aggravated robbery in this case. Guerra was originally listed as a victim, but police now say he could have been the "inside man" since he worked there.

Further investigation reveals Castilleja and Guerra talked extensively about the robbery on Facebook. Messenger records indicate Guerra told Castilleja he was going to jail and the two planned to meet up to exchange some cash a couple hours after the robbery.
