THIS AFTERNOON: It's again a few degrees cooler where the snow fell Saturday compared to the rest of the area. We've got 50s and some low 60s with high clouds. The snow continues to melt away.
TONIGHT: Low near 30, partly cloudy. Wind W-N 5-10mph.
TOMORROW: Partly cloudy, high near 64. Wind W/SW 10-18mph.
VERY WINDY: A strong upper-level storm system now west of Washington will drop down into our region. It'll bring very strong wind, kicking up a few hours after Midnight Thursday morning. Through the day N/NW wind 25-40mph, gusts above 55mph. It'll also turn colder, high temp lower 40s Thursday.
This storm system will bring some snow across Eastern New Mexico early Thursday. Across our area it looks more like a mix of rain and snow Thursday morning. But amounts are really light. The greater setup for wintry precip stretches from parts of the Big Country into North Texas Thursday night.
LOOKING AHEAD: It'll warm back to the 50s, breezy on Friday. And the weekend looks mild.
No big swings in the weather expected next week. Longer-range guidance shows it turning colder just in time for Christmas.
Have a great rest of the day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast early tomorrow.
