Starting the morning off with a light wind with mild temperatures.
TODAY: High near 48, partly to mostly cloudy at times with a few sprinkles possible. The wind will be the problem from the southwest 20-30mph with gusts to 40mph. This will lead to some blow dust this afternoon.
SEVERE WEATHER: A strong low pressure system is moving across the region. As it pushes a cold front east into North Texas it will interact with the gulf moisture and warm temperatures. Stay weather aware if traveling that direction, large hail, high wind, and tornadoes possible. Image below is where the main threat for this weather is expected including Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
TONIGHT: Low near 40, clouds will clear but the wind will stay strong 15-25mph.
SATURDAY: High near 63, mostly sunny and the gusty west wind will stay strong 20-30mph.
EXTENDED: The second cold front will bring a small chance for rain/snow mix late Sunday and early Monday. Not expecting much in totals of either but something to keep in mind to start next week. This front will bring highs down to the 40s with lows in the low 20s.
Have a great Friday and weekend. Matt will have the next update to the forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
