Warm rest of the week, strong wind Friday and Saturday

Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

MILD TODAY: It's warmed into the 70s across the area, even a few locations east of Lubbock reached 80. More warmth is in store tomorrow.

TONIGHT: Clear, low 40. Wind W/SW 5-15mph.

TOMORROW: Mainly sunny, high 77. Wind W/SW 10-18mph.

FRIDAY: The wind will get quite a bit stronger, W/SW 20-32mph with higher gusts. High temp near 70. Some clouds will move through. Could even be a few elevated showers...where rain falls from the clouds but evaporates before it reaches the ground. This is virga. And all it means is more wind.

WEEKEND: We're still going to have plenty of wind Saturday, a little less strong on Sunday. It'll be a little cooler this weekend.

NEXT WEEK: Most likely still dry and mainly sunny, but colder.

7-day forecast

Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
