Chilly start to a warm afternoon, strong wind late week

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Another chilly start to the morning.

TODAY: It is going to be a nice a comfortable afternoon with lots of sunshine. The high will be near 66, with a west/southwest wind 10-15mph.

TONIGHT: Another chilly morning but should stay above freezing, low near 35.

WEDNESDAY: High near 73, becoming breezy with the southwest wind picking up 12-22mph.

EXTENDED: Staying warm through the rest of the week, cooler this weekend with highs dropping to the low 60s. The wind will continue to get stronger, this will likely lead to blowing dust Friday. Staying breezy to windy into the weekend ahead another cold front that will drop us down to the 50s to start next week.

Have a great Tuesday! Matt will have the next update to the forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
