A frigid start to the week - FOX34 Lubbock

A frigid start to the week

Like this afternoon, overnight temperatures will be much lower. Winds will settle down compared to most of today, but we'll still maintain a N wind 10-15mph. This means that we'll likely have some "feels-like" temperatures in the teens.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with a low of 25°. N wind 10-15mph.

MONDAY: Sunny with a high of 53°. W wind 5-10mph.

Things warm up as early as Tuesday. A large area of high pressure will dominate the weather pattern across the state. As it moves toward our east, our winds will shift to the south, bringing in much warmer air. It's very possible that we could be in the 70s on Wednesday. At the moment, I have our forecast highs sustained in the upper 60s. No rain forecast across the week and freezing temperatures will likely only continue until Tuesday morning. Remember not only pets and plants tonight, but your pipes as well, especially north of Lubbock.
