LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock County Commissioners appointed Tony Jackson as the new County Constable for Precinct 4. He will be replacing former County Constable C.J. Peterson

Jackson will retire at the end of the month from the Lubbock Police Department after 26 years and assume the duties of County Constable.

Peterson plead guilty to a DWI charge and received time served. As part of the plea agreement he surrendered his peace officers license permanently, where he will no longer be able to serve as a peace officer in the state of Texas and resigned as constable.
