Some slick spots on the roads, sunny but chilly afternoon

Posted: Updated:

No snow in West Texas this morning, but still drive cautiously as there might be slick spots. Cars parked outside has some front on the windshield, give some extra time to clear that. That strong north wind yesterday afternoon is now about 6-12mph, wind chills in the single digits to teens.

TODAY: Unlike yesterday we will have sunshine today. Doesn't mean it will be warm, high near 42. The northwest wind will stay 5-15mph to make it feel like the upper 30s.

TONIGHT: Very cold again, low near 22. Clear sky continues with a light northwest wind 5-10mph.

REST OF WEEK: Sunshine with temperatures warming around 10 degrees a day Wednesday and Thursday. Lows will also be warming to near the freezing mark by Friday morning.

WEEKEND: A font pushes into the region Saturday, highs dropping to the 40s Sunday. This front will bring some clouds back, but models keeping us dry.

Have a great Tuesday! Stay warm and bring the pets inside for these cold temperatures. Matt will have the next update to the forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
