LUBBOCK, Texas -

The father of one of the victims of Wednesday night's fire south of Wolfforth says he had to learn about his child's death from the news.

Four children died in the mobile home fire.

Investigators have arrested the father of three of those victims. Wesley Harvey, 28, faces arraignment on a charge of abandoning or endangering a child.

Geoffrey Lucus' seven-year-old son Elijah was one of the victims. Elijah was in his mother's custody. Investigators say she was at work and left the children with her husband.

Deputies report Harvey left the house for about an hour before the fire broke out.

"I feel sorry for him, he lost three children, as well as my son's mother-- she lost four children," Lucus said. "So, I can't... I can't let my anger get the best of me. I do have a heart. I do feel bad for them. I want those children to be taken care of, too. But any consequences he has to face from this, he has to. It was a mistake he's going to have to live with the rest of his life."

Fire marshals have not reported the cause of the fire.

The Lucus family has set up a GoFundMe page to pay for Elijah's funeral here.
