The second push of cold air moved through late yesterday. This cleared out the drizzle and light rain, but cloud cover and cold temperatures continue. Northeast wind is a light breeze making it feel like the upper 20s and 30s.
TODAY: High near 50, clouds will start to break apart though the day with some sunshine returning. Wind will change to the east and lighten up 5-10mph this evening.
TONIGHT: Another cold one with lows at or below freezing. We have a freeze watch in effect for our northeastern counties. Some clouds expected to return by early morning.
SATURDAY: Clouds with sunshine with temperatures will be a few degrees warmer, high near 52. It will be breezy as the south wind will pick up 10-18mph.
Texas vs. Tech game will be cold! Temperatures will be dropping in the 40s when the sunsets at 5:48PM. The wind will back off some but will still be a light breeze to make it feel like it's in the 30s.
SNOW: Yes, the area has a chance for snow with the next front and a quick moving disturbance moving across the region. This front will push through the area later Sunday, this will bring the coldest air we've had this season so far. Models have been pretty consistent on bringing accumulating snow totals late Sunday and into the later morning hours of Monday. Where some of the heavier amount fall is still the questions. Models have totals ranging from 1-4 inches with higher amount towards Amarillo. This could still change over the weekend, so stay tuned in.
