SAN ANTONIO, Texas -

A helicopter crash near Uvalde kills two newlyweds married that day.

Federal agents report the chopper crashed into a rocky hillside less than ten minutes after takeoff from a nearby ranch.

William and Bailee Byler, both 24, died in the crash as well as pilot Gerald Lawrence, a Vietnam vet.

"The crash site is actually on the side of a hill. It's kind of planted curiously on the side of a hill. So there's several factors that could go wrong that could get him there. But at this point, it's just a matter of documenting the record site, how it lays out and again, it's scattered 100 yards or so across the side of the hill," NTSB Air Safety Investigator Craig Match said.

The Bylers owned the helicopter and Lawrence had been a pilot for the family for years.

The couple was on their way to San Antonio, where they were supposed to fly out for their honeymoon.
