TODAY: A quick-moving cold front will slide across the area. Its influence will be kicking up the wind some today then making tonight into tomorrow cooler.
High today in the upper 60s, lots of sun through the afternoon. N wind will kick up around/just above 20mph mid-day.
The wind will drop off some this evening, but should still be gusty during the first half of the Texas Tech game. Sunset 6:53. Kickoff temp in the upper 50s dropping to the upper 40s/low 50s by the end of the game.
Clouds will increase this evening. There might even be a few sprinkles, but nothing of significance. Here is the current temperature and wind:
TONIGHT: Daylight saving time ends, we get an extra hour. Low in the mid to upper 30s.
SUNDAY: Low 60s, mostly sunny. Wind W/S 5-15mph. Sunrise 7:09 CST, sunset 5:53 CST.
NEXT WEEK: Another front will make it windy Monday, NW wind up around 25mph. High in the 70s.
It'll trend cooler by late in the week. There might be a few showers by Thursday, but no real good sign of rain at this point.
Next weekend looks cooler. We'll probably have a few freezes in the morning by either late next week or the weekend.
Have a great day and Guns Up! for Texas Tech. Robert will have a full update to the forecast here later today.
