We are starting off the last day of October with some showers and a few embedded thunderstorms. This activity is quickly moving to the northeast and bringing a few light rain totals across the area. We are starting around 10-15 degrees cooler this morning than yesterday.
TODAY: This light rainfall will continue on and off through the day. The cloud cover will keep us cold with highs barely moving and staying in the 40s and 50s. Northeast wind will pick up around 10-18mph, this will make it feel like the 30s. For this evening bundle the kids up and don't forget the umbrella while trick-or-treating. Also, take extra care outside since the visibility will likely be reduced.
TONIGHT: Some light activity will stick around but clearing into the early morning hours of Thursday. Likely to have some locations to our northwestern counties that will be freezing, Lubbock's low near 34.
EXTENDED: Sunshine returning Thursday, but it will stay chilly with the high near 58. Mild by Saturday but the wind will pick up with our next cold front. This front will move through late Saturday dropping highs Sunday into the 60s. There could be a few light showers with this front, but it looks like it will just be partly cloudy.
Have a great Halloween! Matt will be in tonight with the latest update to the forecast on the News at Nine.
