COLDER DAY: It reached the mid 70s early this afternoon in Lubbock, before a cold front moved through. Since then the temperature has dropped into the lower 60s with more clouds. Farther northwest, there's some snow around Denver and a winter storm warning for southern Colorado into northern New Mexico.
TONIGHT: Cloudy and cold, low near 44. Wind NE 10-16mph. Some drizzle or light rain is possible.
TOMORROW: It'll be a cold and wet Halloween. We're not expecting much actual measurable rainfall. But it's likely you'll at least get some drizzle or light rain at some point through the day. The temperature won't move much, high of only 47. Wind NNE 10-18mph, which will make it feel like the 30s.
For trick-or-treating it'll stay cold. 6p temp around 43 dropping to the upper 30s by 9p. Though the chance gets lower through the evening, some rain is possible.
NEXT FEW DAYS: A freeze is possible in Lubbock Thursday morning. More sun by the afternoon will push the temp up near 60. Friday and Saturday will turn warmer.
Today some computer model runs have shown a few showers late Saturday night, but it's a new trend in the guidance. For now we're keeping the forecast dry.
It'll be a little cooler Sunday. The wind will kick up both days this weekend, then will get stronger Monday.
