LUBBOCK, Texas -

The City of Lubbock Keep Lubbock Beautiful, is pleased to announce its on-going partnership with the ALON 7-Eleven Strive program which has brought about the planting of six new beautiful trees at Richard Lopez Park.

ALON 7-Eleven Strive has been working with local beautification programs across Texas and New Mexico, to bolster green spaces and promote good stewardship of our environment by assisting with reforestation efforts. Additionally, this program has expanded efforts across the globe to help reduce vehicle emissions through the promotion of alternative energy sources.

Beginning in 2016, that partnership was brought to Lubbock with Keep Lubbock Beautiful. City Parks such as Mackenzie and McAlister, as well as, the City Cemetery have benefitted from their generosity.

Richard Lopez Park is located 5402 Auburn Street, just west of North Slide Road. The new trees are located on the east side of the park along North Brentwood Avenue, and have been planted by the City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department.
