We are starting off around 5-10 degrees above the average this morning with a southwest wind.
TODAY: Cold front will push through the area changing the wind to the north 10-15mph. Highs will range from the upper 60s for the northern counties to upper 70s south. High for Lubbock near 71 and mostly sunny.
TONIGHT: Cloud cover increasing with some light precipitation starting early in the morning. Much colder start too with the low near 44.
HALLOWEEN: Temperatures will barely be moving with highs in the upper 40s and 50s. Mostly cloudy, with the chance for light precipitation continuing on and off through the day. Unlike earlier this month we don't have an abundance of moisture, so rain totals will remain light.
EXTENDED: Likely to have a freeze for the western and northern counties Thursday morning. Clouds will clear early Thursday, then mostly sunny through Saturday with a gradual warm up. The wind will become breezy as we get into the weekend with a dry front dropping highs some on Sunday.
Have a great Tuesday! Matt will have the next update to the forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
