SUNNY DAY: It's a pretty quiet weather picture all around the region, with 70s across the South Plains. There are a few clouds in Central New Mexico, which will move this way tonight.
TONIGHT: Low near 45, a few clouds. Wind N 5mph.
TOMORROW: A nice sunny day, high 73. Wind NW/SW 5-10mph. It'll be a clear evening for the football games, near 70 at 6:30 dropping to the upper 50s by 9:30. Not much wind.
WEEKEND: It gets even warmer on Saturday, much of the area in the lower 80s. And a cold front on Sunday now looks weaker, probably only dropping the high to the lower 70s. It will be breezy at times Sunday.
TEXAS TECH FORECAST: The forecast has also trended a little warmer in Ames, which isn't bad for this time of year. There might be some rain Friday night and again Saturday night, but not for game time. Kickoff upper 40s, ending the game in the upper 50s to near 60. Some clouds mixing with sun through the day. Not much wind.
NEXT WEEK: The quiet and sunny weather will continue Monday and Tuesday. A weak disturbance mid-week might bring some rain on Halloween, but it's only a slight chance at this point.
It should turn cooler second half of next week.
Have a great rest of the day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here tomorrow morning.
