We have continued the rain showers through the overnight hours. Some decent rainfall totals for Lubbock with the airport under a half an inch and near Tech over half of an inch. Other locations range from trace amounts to a few tenths of an inch. Temperatures are above freezing this morning, so we just rain showers with no freezing.
TODAY: Mostly cloudy, some on/off showers possible through the day. Another cool day with the high near 45, northeast wind 6-12mph. Heavier rain continues down state with flooding a major concern with rainfall totals 4-10+ inches has fallen already.
TONIGHT: Low near 39, mostly cloudy with a few light showers possible.
MORE WIDE SPREAD RAIN: Late Wednesday and Thursday a disturbance will move across the area, this will bring another good chance for wide spread rainfall. It is looking to be light to moderate at times like we seen last night.
Temperatures will also stay cool through Thursday, then rain coming to an end by the early parts of Friday. Temperatures will then climb in the 60s, still around 10 degrees below average.
Have a great Tuesday and stay warm! Matt will have the next update to the forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
