GED classes start tonight - FOX34 Lubbock

GED classes start tonight

Posted: Updated:

During the spring of 2018 the temperature in the Lubbock area was hotter than normal. Several clients were struggling to stay cool and hydrated in the scorching heat. The Salvation Army decided to offer a place to come and escape the crazy West Texas weather- The emPOWERment Center.

This room was designed to help our clients combat the weather but also to help streamline services offered. In The emPOWERment Center we offer a place to charge mobile devices and we distribute food and clothing vouchers. We are also in the early stages of designing showers.

We are happy to announce that Monday October 15,2018 at 6:00 pm the emPOWERment center will begin offering Adult Education Programs.

We would love for you to join us in celebrating the new service offered to our clients and anyone else who would like to obtain their G.E.D.

Call 806.765.9434 for details.
