Areas of fog and light drizzle through this morning. Yesterday's high was at 58, we are still in the mid 50s this morning.
TODAY: Much warmer with highs in the upper 60s and 70s. Light rain and fog will continue through the morning, then a weak front will clear things out for a few hours. Tropical Storm Sergio is moving inland, this will bring the chance for showers and storms later today.
TONIGHT: The remnants of Sergio will move across our area. This is where the best chance for moderate to heavy rainfall is expected. It won't take much for flooding concerns to develop for the recent rain we had earlier this week. Low near 54, breezy northeast wind 10-20mph.
WEEKEND: Cloudy, colder, and becoming windy as a stronger front will push through the area Sunday. Rain will stay in the area through most of Saturday, then returning with the front Sunday. The area could see rain totals from a quarter of an inch to above an inch.
NEXT WEEK: To begin next week lows will drop below to near the freezing mark both Monday and Tuesday. There may be some mixed precipitation for some areas of the South Plains with these temperatures. Highs will stay chilly through the week as clouds and a slight chance for rain continues.
Have a great Friday, stay dry and warm. Matt will have the next update to the forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
