Cold start this morning so don't forget the jacket! We have a light northerly wind and it is making it feel around five degrees cooler. We might see some areas of fog developing through the morning.
TODAY: If the fog develops it will clear out through the morning, then a nice sunny sky. High near 68, the wind will shift to the southwest staying light.
HURRICANE MICHAEL: Making landfall today along the Florida coastline. It is a Category 4 Hurricane with maximum wind speeds of 140mph. This is expected to bring 13 foot storm surge along the coast.
MORE RAIN FOR THE SOUTH PLAINS: A slight chance for some storms later in the Day Thursday. Friday and through the weekend, we will be dealing with the remnants of tropical Storm Sergio. One of the long range model in bringing this rain right over the area, another is pushing the heaviest to the south. We will get some better solutions as we get closer to Friday.
A cold front will interact with this moisture to keep the rain chances around. This front will also provide a big cool down Sunday, with temperatures dropping into the 40s during the day. mid to upper 30s expected early Monday morning.
