We ended the month of September with 3.26" of rain. This is more than we had last September, but we are still 6.47 below average.
TODAY: High near 82, early low clouds with areas of patchy fog. Then partly sunny with a southwest wind staying light 5-15mph. Tropical Storm Rosa will move inland today along the Baja coast. This will be bring some heavy rain with flooding into Arizona through today.
TONIGHT: Low near 62, with the moisture still in place likely to have areas of patchy fog and low clouds.
TUESDAY: About the same as today with the high near 83. The remnants of Rosa will bring the moisture across the region, and this may bring a few isolated showers to the South Plains.
EXTENDED: Temperatures will be climbing to the upper 80s to low 90s through Friday. Also late in the week and weekend a few systems will bring better rain chances for the area. This includes a cold front that will help to drop the highs in the 70s for the weekend.
Have a great first day of October! Matt will be in tonight on the News at Nine for the next update to the forecast.
