Fewer showers expected - FOX34 Lubbock

Fewer showers expected

It was a warm morning across west Texas--much warmer than Saturday morning. Some humidity has moved across the area thanks to the south winds, and that makes it really difficult for the temperature to drop. While an isolated shower is still possible midweek, a better chance of rain is likely closer toward the weekend.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with some morning low clouds returning. Low temps will be near 63° with S winds 10-15mph, likely reducing any chance of fog.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with a high near 82°. SSW winds 10-15 mph expected.

Moisture from Hurricane Rosa will move into Arizona and possibly bringing some heavy rain across the Desert Southwest. Some of this moisture will likely make its way into New Mexico as well. It's looking more and more doubtful that we will see much benefit from this system across the South Plains. If we see any benefit from this, it will likely be west of Lubbock. By the weekend, expect a better chance for rain with some cooler temperatures as well.
