Passenger dies after September 16th crash at Fourth & Texas Tech Parkway

A passenger in the Ford F-150, Alicia Ramirez, 54, was pronounced deceased at the hospital on September 22nd. Ramirez had been transported to UMC  with serious injuries following a September 16 crash in the area of 4th Street and Texas Tech Parkway.

The investigation is currently ongoing and the case will be presented to the Lubbock County DA’s office.

A man is jailed for a charge of intoxication assault after a crash in northwest Lubbock Sunday evening.

Officers were called to Fourth Street and the Texas Tech parkway for a crash involving multiple vehicles.

Investigators believe the driver of an SUV headed westbound on Fourth ran a red light and crashed into a pickup. Debris from the crash hit a third vehicle.

Five people were riding in the pickup. One person has serious injuries, two suffered moderate injuries and two children suffered minor injuries. 

According to Lubbock Police, after an on-scene DWI investigation, Trevor McDonald, 28, was arrested. He faces one count of intoxication assault and two counts of child endangerment. Additional charges are possible.
