LPD officers investigate east Lubbock shooting

Just after 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 21, Lubbock Police officers were called to the area of East 24th Street and Globe Avenue for a report of an injured male lying on the ground. The responding officer located a 64-year-old male with a gunshot wound and applied first aid until the EMS arrived.

The victim was then taken by ambulance to University Medical Center in serious condition.

At this time, it appears the victim got into some sort of altercation with a  male suspect and victim was shot. Detectives are still investigating what led to the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
