GOOD RAIN CHANCE AHEAD: The weather will stay quiet around most of our area tonight, but a look to the west is promising. There are numerous showers and thunderstorms across New Mexico. Even a few have made it to around Hobbs and Denver City. These are moving from south to north.
TONIGHT: Low near 68, wind S 5-15mph. Like the past few mornings, some low clouds and/or fog are possible to start the day. Sunrise 7:34.
TOMORROW: Partly to mostly cloudy, high near 83. Wind S 10-18mph.
A few showers or thunderstorms are possible west, near the state line, late morning to early afternoon. Then the chance for storms across our area gets better through the day...highest from Thursday evening through early Friday morning.
With some of the showers and storms there will be heavy rain.
NEXT FEW DAYS: It looks like the rain will wind down across our area Friday morning, pushing off to the east. A front sliding through here during the day might generate a few more showers or storms in the afternoon, but it's a lower chance.
The front will bring a gusty north wind of 20-30mph Friday. And Friday's high will be in the lower 70s.
WEEKEND: Both Saturday and Sunday mornings will start in the mid to upper 50s. There's a slight chance for a shower Saturday, high near 72. Closer to 80 on Sunday.
NEXT WEEK: Milder, with the high back in the 80s. Slight chance for a shower or storm on Wednesday.
Have a good evening. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
