TODAY: A repeat of yesterday, low clouds and some patchy fog in the morning. Then the clouds start to break up during the day. High temperature near 87, south wind will be a little stronger 10-18mph.
TONIGHT: Moisture will stay with us to help keep temperatures mild again. Low near 68, low clouds and areas of patchy fog possible again.
REST OF THE WEEK: A plume of moisture will be moving across the region starting today for New Mexico. This plume will push east into the South Plains by Thursday afternoon. This will help to get some showers and storms to develop Thursday afternoon. A cold front will also push into the area Friday, this will help to bring the better chances for heavy rain. Some rain totals could be above 1 inch for some locations. Highs will be dropping to the mid 70s by Friday.
EXTENDED: For the weekend rain chances diminish but are not out of the picture. Highs will continue to stay cool, but a little warmer for Sunday. Next week we will be back in the low 80s with a lower chance for rain.
Have a great Wednesday! Matt will have the next update to the forecast on the News at Nine.
