QUIET PATTERN: It's a partly cloudy afternoon with mid 80s around Lubbock, closer to 90 off of the Caprock. This pretty quiet pattern will continue next few days.
TONIGHT: It'll be mild for this time of year because it's fairly humid. Low near 66, wind S 5-12mph. Some low clouds or fog is possible in the morning. Sunrise 7:33.
TOMORROW: Nearly a repeat of today, partly cloudy with a high of 86. Wind S 5-15mph.
RAIN CHANCE: There's a pretty good chance for rain over New Mexico Wednesday. That upper-level support will move this way, bringing a slight chance for showers and storms Thursday. Right now it looks like we'll have a better chance for showers and storms on Friday, then dropping to a slight chance Saturday and Sunday.
The atmosphere will stay primed with a good amount of water through this week, which could lead to some healthy downpours for parts of our area. The Panhandle up to parts of Kansas are more favored for heavy rain late this week into the weekend.
With potentially some rain and more clouds, it'll be a little cooler Friday and Saturday, high close to 80.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
