FOX34 Corner Kitchen: pork chops with sautéed apples and bacon

Pork Chops with Sautéed Apples & Bacon

Ingredients

* 1 package Ready Chef Go Pork Chops (found in the meat market)

* 3 large apples, diced

* 2 tablespoons butter

* ½ cup water

* 2 teaspoons corn starch

* ¼ cup brown sugar

* ½ teaspoon cinnamon

* 2-3 slices bacon, cooked and chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare pork chops according to package directions.

2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter and melt; stir in apples and saute for about 7 minutes or until apples are slightly soft.

3. In small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until dissolved; stir into apples. Add brown sugar and cinnamon; stir mixture for about 2 minutes. Stir in bacon pieces.

4. Carefully remove pork chops and vegetables to a plate; spoon apples over pork chops and serve.
