Nice weather for the South Plains - FOX34 Lubbock

Nice weather for the South Plains

Posted: Updated:

We still might see some fog and low clouds to reduce visibility this morning.

TODAY: Mostly sunny with the high near 84.

TONIGHT: Another chance for fog to develop as our lows drop to near 60 again.

EXTENDED: Pretty quite across the area with lots of sunshine and highs in the 80s. There might be a chance for some storms this weekend but for now its not a great chance.

HURRICANE FLORENCE: This is a major Category 4 Hurricane with sustain max wind speeds of 130mph. It continues to move WNW around 15mph barreling toward the Carolinas. This will make landfall late Thursday/early Friday, then just sit there bringing some major flooding concerns for the east coast. Hurricane Watches are in effect along the coast.

Have a great Tuesday! Matt will have the next update tonight on the News at Nine.
