Storms this evening, and beyond - FOX34 Lubbock

Storms this evening, and beyond

Storms expected this evening across the South Plains, and storm chances continue into next week. An eventual cold front will knock down temperatures even more by midweek. Severe weather isn't expected, but an isolated strong storm isn't impossible.

TONIGHT: Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening, and lingering after midnight. Lows will be near 68° with SSE winds 5-10 mph.

SUNDAY: Showers and thunderstorms expected again with high temperatures only near 88°, SSW winds 10-15 mph.

While a disturbance moves through early in the week, a cold front will move through midweek, allowing temperatures to drop again, as well as maintaining the chance of showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures remain more or less around around average, with some places struggling to reach the 80s midweek. The forecast is slightly warmer and drier toward the weekend. It is almost like fall is here, but not yet.
